Here it is: The end of the season when all of your hard work needs to pay off. Look up to the right and you can see the flurry of activity that happens before any race with rider and crew gathering around at the starting line. Time to make it count…
My employer, MDK Motorsports, was supporting a racer at this event and I got to attend using our race rig as my home base. It was nice to have a spot to chill, eat food, and show cool stuff to the kids. Unfortunately, I didn’t have credentials to take photos from on the track. Maybe next year. For now I’ll be happy with the HDR landscape shot that I got of the track.
BTW: Yes, the smog, fog, haze, smaze or whatever people want to call it today really can be as bad as shown in the distance of this pic. In fact, the HDR process made it look darker and worse than it really is but I corrected it to look more realistic.
HDR Info: 3 RAWs combined with Photomatix and spot corrected with Photoshop by layered exposure blending. Shot on a tripod.
